Spring was a busy one! Preparing for Nicaragua and going on the mission trip kept us busy! Mike transitioned to a new job at Bayer. Sloane did awana on Wed nights and kids choir Sunday afternoons! And Oakley well...he's all boy and is very adventurous!

Easter....
We celebrated Easter with my family. We flew in from Nicaragua the day before and then my parent came down and brought Sloane and Oakley back after having them up there for the week. We were exhausted but they made it special for the kids. Very grateful for them!
It was a different persective this Easter after seeing God's amazing work in Nicaragua. It definitely made us fall deeper in love with our AMAZING God. It never gets old hearing the most EPIC story ever. The story of God giving up His son for each and everyone of us. A free gift that we don't have to earn but instead are givin grace and eternal life. This is crazy amazing!
We ran Bentonville's half marathon. It was crazy after being in Nicaragua on a mission trip the previous week but we survived, haha.

Mike's birthday....
Birthday's are so fun with kids! Sloane and Oaks picked out cards and drew special notes for daddy. We grilled out and had an ice cream cake. Perfect way to bring in the 27th year!

Sloane and I got to run a 2 mile glow run race together! We practiced running around our neighborhood a few times together. Sloane did so great during the race! She tripped over the starting line but bounced back! She held my hand tight through the crowded parts. She stopped a couple times and then faked it and said I'm gonna beat you mom! Haha. She loved passing people which made me happy! I'm very proud of my little girl and look forward to more mommy/daughter races!(:

Sloane really looks forward to Awana every Wednesday night. She is a social little bug! She's not happy unless she's with friends!!
