I wanted to enroll Sloane in a sport starting out the new year. Since I'm home more with the kiddos, it is especially good for all of us to get out and for Sloane to get some interaction with kids while staying active!:) She has been talking about dance for the past couple months, so we decided to give it a go. Her class is a combination on ballet, tap, and gymnastics. She is absolutely loving it! So great to have skills to work on during the week in between class as well.

Mike and I decided to set a couple goals of running a couple races. We're training for the Bentonville half here in March and the Lincoln Full in May. The half is part of training for the full which makes it fun. This has been so great so far. Both of us have gotten our runs in, during the work week, in the a.m. before the kiddos are awake. So great to start our day with exercise and not miss out on our kids. Then on Saturdays we have our longer runs which we can get done more leisurely during nap times.:)
This has made working out fun by putting competition into it. It's been super fun to do this with Mike!
We took Sloane to the dentist for a check-up and she absolutely loved it. We were kind of surprised. She held still the whole time. She kept saying, "I want to be a dentist when I grow up." She has now been after Mike to floss every night. "Daddy did you floss?" Haha. She is also very paranoid of "sugar bugs" and avoids most food with "sugar bugs" in it.
She would only eat carrots after the dentists for snacks the first day. To funny!
Sloane's been loving Awana on Wednesday nights. She is so excited to learn new verses and tell us what she learned each night. She also sings, "We are awana cubbies" SEVERAL times a day. So cute...so excited what she's learning!

New artwork all the time...This one is Olaf, Anna, and Elsa |
We've had some warmer days in the 60s. We've tried to take advantage of it doing yardwork, going on walks, and just hanging outside. I love love love being outside and I'm super happy that both kiddos do as well!:)
It's been so fun to see how these 2 are starting to interact. Oakley adores his sis! He constantly watches her and laughs and smiles at her being goofy.

Mike took Sloane on a daddy daughter date. She was so excited! She wanted to get all dressed up with her hair done and everything!:) She picked out daddy's "prince clothes." They ended up going out to eat at Chickfila and then to the penguin movie. So precious!
We had a super bowl party with a few friends. It was a lot of fun! Fun to plan a party and just to chill!
