Sloane did little Kicksters this spring. It was so much fun! She had done iddy biddy soccer a year before, and it was a little tricky being that she was not quite 3. This year was a different story! Sloane did great following instructions and participating. We worked on encouraging others by telling teammates good job and giving high fives.
Sloane's favorite's from the season:
-Friend Matty...they were always partners dribbling with each other and always had to be by each other!:)
-Running....this girl has sooo much joy when she runs!
-Easter egg basket...a game where all the balls are scattered on the field and you go retrieve as many balls as possible and take them back into the goal. (she couldn't get over losing track of her pink ball though)
Half way through the season they finished with 3 on 3 games. This was super fun for Mike and I watching an actual competition!:) We're nerds but we're pretty excited to watch a competition!:) Sloane was not quite sure how to handle actuals games. It was actually very emotional. She didn't understand why no one was sharing the ball with her, and she didn't get that she had to steal the ball from others when all she's ever been taught is don't take things from others, haha. There were lots of pep talks with daddy on the sidelines! For her last game we told her we'd buy her a stuffed pony if she scored a goal. Sloane told us, "My birthday's not to far away, I'll just wait until then." Too too cute!:)
