little flock of swans: Oakley John: 9 Months

Oakley just keeps on changing so much! It is so crazy to see him grow up...I wish time would slow down!

Oakley got his first 2 teeth. We were up in NE and my sister noticed it. He was a little fussy sleeping, but I just chalked it up to being out of routine with travel. Turns out he was actually teething. Such a good babe!

He's a mover lately. He started climbing on the fireplace and kids chairs. It is crazy how fearless this babe is, yikes! He has started standing independently briefly. I've seen him control squatting down from standing several times too. I'm starting to think he could be walking soon...that's a scary thought!

This kid loves to eat! At his 9 month well-check, the dr said to introduce meats, strawberries, peanut butter, and eggs. I was nervous about this because of allegies but the new studies are showing the longer you wait the more they could be prone to develop an allergy. So we have expanded Oaks pallet and he absolutely loves it! He loves table foods...especially meat, green beans, sweet potatoes, and bread. This is great to work on transitioning him into scheduled meals filling him up instead of just milk. Sigh, my baby is growin up:(.

It has been so so fun seeing his personality change! He is such a funny little kid! He plays peek-a-boo by puttin his hands on his eyes or holdin a blanket up. He belly laughs and thinks it's just hilarious! He started doing a grumpy face. He was just doing it to be funny and get a laugh but now he does it to be sassy. Like if he wants me or Mike to hold him he will make that face at the other one of us. So funny! He is also doing better in the church nursery. It was rough the first few times, but this past Sunday he was playing and havin fun when I went to pick him up:)
