Summer '15

Summer 2015 has been a busy one! We stayed busy with Sloane's swim lessons and dance/gym, Mike's church softball, our races, home projects, and of course having fun with our 2 lil munchkins!:)

Swimming...

We did quite a bit of splash pads and swimming pools. So fun for all of us. I went a couple times without Mike, but it was definitely more helpful when he was able to come along! I'm very thankful that my kids love the sun as much as I do! We're all happier when we're outside!

Sloane has been timid in the water, so we decided she needed to take swim lessons this summer. We couldn't believe the difference it made by the end. She was jumpin off the edge, going down the slide, and jumping off the diving board. So fun to see her confidence grow!

I promised Sloane goggles if she went under water, lol. She went under and said," Lets go to Target!"

Running...

We ran a few 5k's this summer...this was a helpful way to stay healthy having some accountability with 2 little kiddos. It was so so fun being able to do it as a family with our kids running with us!! 

Sloane's 1st race...she had a blast!

Mike's work had a running team for a cancer 5k.

Thankful for our go with the flow baby. It's nice to be able to still get out and have fun doing things/going to sporting events, and he just goes along for the ride!:) Most of the time;)

It's been a lot of fun having time with Sloane after Oaks' goes to bed. She loves playing games!

Daddy was gone for a Men's Christian Retreat so we had a slumber party. We did straw hair aka "Merida hair"...

Mike won tickets to a Naturals game...it rained which delayed the start til 8pm. It wasn't ideal for 2 little kids but we made it work and had fun! 

There's a smoothie shop real close to us, and we've gone there a few to many times this summer! Haha they're so yummy!! 

Mike jokes about this bein our grandchild, haha. Joy goes everywhere with us!:)

Mike and I had chance to go on a date to see Dashboard Confessional at the Amp (an outdoor theatre close to us). It was so fun! They were the cool band back in the day! Haha

Projects...

Mike and I are loving projects. The deck has been a big one of the summer! I love how it turned out...Mike put so much work into it!! It rained quite a bit this summer so we turned our garage into a sanding/staining area so we wouldn't have to wait for it to dry out! It was a lot of work but fun! 

The bedroom was my birthday present. I love how modern/relaxing it is!

Church softball...

Mike played on a league this summer. Games were on Thursday nights. It was fun to go watch daddy play. Sloane met 2 sweet little girls that she played with! She even went with Mike a couple Thursdays when I couldn't make it and hung out in the dugout. So fun!

Of course no one is looking!;)
